If true, increased all-cause excess mortality observed during the Omicron wave in Massachusetts may reflect a higher mortality product (ie, a moderately lower infection fatality rate multiplied by far higher infection rate).”， 首先作者假定Omicron 更温和一些（为啥假定，不确定吧？你对医学界的其他看法也是持有怀疑吧？那你的看法是不是也值得怀疑？），然后由全因超额死亡病例推测可能Omicron死亡率低，但是传染性强。更庞大人口病人数导致超额死亡更多。
